The Tweed Jailhouse was built in 1898, three years before the official incorporation of the town. It was operated as a jail until 1950. The jailhouse is now open 7 days a week in the summer months (May Long Weekend through to Labour Day) and is used as a Visitor Information Centre. Located in the heart of the Village of Tweed stop in get your picture taken in jail and get some information about all the great things happening in our area this summer!
