Fifth Chute, Eganville Ontario
Rating: 1/5
Bonnechere River, Eganville, Renfrew County
GPS: N 45 32.374 W 77 05.886
Access: Easy, obliterated by a dam

This is a stop really only for historical purposes and the history of logging on the Bonnchere River as the site is now been modified to a small dam with low flow.

The interesting part is there a connecting bridge to walk across to Eganville Centennial Park that offers views of the Fifth Chute Dam and a pretty view downstream of a nice gorge along the Bonnechere River (more scenic)

The town of Eganville is said to the the “Jewel” of Bonnachere and offers the Bonnechere Museum and two of the most popular restaurants in the Ottawa Valley.
